BABY-SAFE 3 i-SIZE – Prepared for beautiful changes
The BABY-SAFE 3 i-SIZE accompanies you and your baby from birth to 15 months. The removable newborn insert and the reclining surface technology provide the highest ergonomic comfort. The infant carrier is compatible with the FLEX BASE iSENSE, which allows for easy and quick installation in the car and provides an optimized and more ergonomic reclining position for your baby. The BABY-SAFE 3 i-SIZE protects your baby in all situations while providing comfort and convenience so you and your little one can enjoy every journey ahead.
Rotatable base station
The FLEX BASE iSENSE base station allows for easy access. Sitting and buckling up your little one is so quick and easy: simply rotate the BABY-SAFE 3 i-SIZE towards the open car door when installed on the FLEX BASE iSENSE. This makes transitions between car rides and stroller walks much more comfortable.
Acoustic click to indicate correct installation
When the infant carrier is installed on the FLEX BASE iSENSE in the car or stroller, a clearly audible click lets you know that the seat is securely installed.
5-point harness system
Britax Römer is convinced that a 5-point harness system is best suited to protect your child in the car seat. This is because it optimally secures your offspring in the protective shell of the seat. In the event of a collision, the belt system distributes the forces that act in the event of an impact to 5 points and mitigates them: at the shoulders, the hips and at the belt buckle between the legs. So your child is protected from all sides in the event of an accident.
Easily adjustable headrest and harness
It couldn’t be easier: you can adjust the padded headrest as well as the shoulder straps with one hand and completely adapt them to the size of your child. Before you put the straps on, be sure to check that the headrest is in the right position – just above your little darling’s shoulders.
Adjustable carrying handle
Well thought out: the carrying handle can be easily adjusted backwards so that you can comfortably place your child in the infant carrier. All you have to do is unlock the buttons on each side of the carry handle. And when you put the infant carrier down on the floor, it’s best to set the carry handle all the way back so it doesn’t rock.
Simply solved: with the CLICK & GO adapters
Easy on the back: The infant carrier can be easily detached from the base or stroller – using the handle at the back of the infant carrier. This allows you to remain upright when lifting the infant carrier.
Flat reclining position
Your newborn rides safest when he or she is lying comfortably and ergonomically. Thanks to the integrated and patented technology for a flat lying position, you can set the lying position differently flat and adjust it to the size of your child. The position changes automatically as soon as you adjust the headrest – so your child has more room as he or she grows. By the way, this also applies to the shoulder straps.
Newborn insert
The included newborn insert with removable, shock-absorbing foam pads protects baby and gives him extra support. It reduces the size of the seat for added comfort.
Quickly removable cover
Sometimes it goes on the road quite chaotic. There is quickly times a drink spilled or your child may feel sick from driving. Wisely, Britax Römer has developed a machine-washable seat cover that can be easily removed without you having to remove the harness. So you get the seat clean again quickly – and you’re ready to go.
Sun canopy
Quite clever: The sun canopy with UPF 50+ sun protection protects your child not only from the sun, but also from the wind. And it does so both in the car and on the stroller. Its attachment points are conveniently located on the sides of the carry handle, so you can easily carry the infant carrier even when the canopy is attached to it.
Installation
On base
Imagine your baby is fast asleep and you need to either lift him out of the car or put him in the car – without waking him up. In such cases, many parents really appreciate Britax Römer baby car seat bases. While the base is securely and firmly installed in the car, and stays there, you can remove the infant carrier from the base or click it onto the base with a simple flick of the wrist. Without much effort and without disturbing your little one.

With harness
This child seat can be installed with the vehicle’s 3-point seat belt. This is convenient when you install the child seat in different cars that may not all have ISOFIX anchor points. The belt guides on the car seat help you to install the child seat correctly.
Refer to your vehicle manual for the appropriate vehicle seat positions for your car. Also, ask your local dealer for a test installation in your car before you buy the child car seat.
Travel System
On the stroller
There are days when there’s just a lot going on. When you and your baby are traveling in the car, you can make it a little easier on yourself by using the infant carrier along with the stroller. Just take the car seat out of the car with your little one and snap it securely onto the stroller. And you’re ready to go.
