The CE mark is therefore not a test mark, but a marking.
TÜV
This sign indicates that a product not only complies with the European Toys Directive EN 71, but has also been tested for harmful substances.
It certifies that the article meets all the essential health and safety requirements, some of which are even stricter than those of the European Toy Safety Directives.
The quality is checked regularly by random sampling during ongoing production. After one year, the exam must be renewed.
ICTI Code
On a voluntary basis, Sterntaler complies with the International Council of Toy Industries (ICTI) Code, which defines working conditions in Asian manufacturing facilities. For this reason, Sterntaler was one of the first German manufacturers to have all toy production sites certified.
Quality and safety are top priorities in the production of Sterntaler toys. The high-quality, pollution-free materials are carefully processed at the highest technical level. So safety always goes before style.
Every risk and all possible sources of danger should be excluded. In order to ensure the high standard without interruption, in addition to an intensive quality control during processing in the production facilities, additional checks are carried out before delivery.
Sterntaler toy products have also been voluntarily TÜV tested for more than 15 years and all fabrics used are tested in accordance with the Öko Tex standard for each season.
For Sterntaler, not only the quality of the products but also the quality of the production facilities is a fundamental concern.
