The sun hat in bucket hat style protects the small head, the eyes and the neck area from the sun. It is reversible so it can be worn on both sides. In addition, the sewn-in label is easy to remove. So it adapts perfectly to the outfit and lets you choose between cheerful motifs or simple colors. So that the hat doesn’t get lost in the wind or when romping around, it can be tied under the chin.
Its light, breathable and quick-drying material ensures a comfortable fit on land and in the water. After the trip, the sun hat can be cleaned at 30C on a gentle cycle. For every LÄSSIG sun hat, plastic is reused and spun into yarn. The recycled material content corresponds to 3 PET bottles. The calculation is based on an average weight of 17.2g for the PET bottles. With the use of recycled materials and innovative processes as well as the renunciation of animal components, LÄSSIG contributes to the circular economy and protects the earth’s resources.
The LÄSSIG sun hat with UV protection of UPF 80 has been tested according to UV STANDARD 801 (Hohenstein).
Guide to appropriate application
Exposure to UV rays for too long can lead to sunburn and skin damage. This sun protection hat only protects the covered area, other parts of the body exposed to natural UV radiation must be protected separately, e.g. by applying sunscreen and wearing other UV protective clothing. This headgear does not provide protection from reflected or scattered ultraviolet solar radiation. The actual protection provided by UV protective clothing depends on the child’s skin condition and the intensity of the sun’s rays. The declared UV protection can be reduced through normal wear and tear and at the seams. In the event of damage or wear and tear, please replace the sun protection hat or have it professionally repaired. The durability of the protective clothing is – even without visible damage – 6 years from the production date. Composition, care instructions, size, date of manufacture and UV protection factor can be found on the label sewn into the item. Please store the item dry and protected from light. Wash with chlorine and salt water after each contact. It is UV protective clothing (category I PPE) that meets the basic health and safety requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425, Annex II. The protective clothing meets the requirements of EN ISO 13688:2013, protective clothing – general requirements. The material is tested according to UV Standard 801 (based on AS/NZS 4399:2017).
